1. I’m a “people” person and I get very intrigued with getting to know new people.

2. I love to talk and getting to know new people means I get to talk a lot.

I never get tired of hearing how people have met, where they’ve come from or where they are going… because the story never ends.

I love stories that never end.

Here are some shots from my recent session with Monica and Gilbert; my latest beautiful couple.

Sometimes, this world is strange. We just have to put our hands up and let things happen as they will. Over a year ago, Rick and I became friends on facebook and sooner or later our paths crossed and we began working together. We both shared the dream of shooting weddings for couples in love and helping them document their special moments the best way possible. In the last year, I’ve been blessed to work with Rick many times; blessed to have him listen to me talk about my dreams and failures. In an industry of ever changing standards and trends, he is one of the most passionate photographers I’ve ever met. Passionate about his work, his goals, and most importantly, the love of his life, Claudia; who is simply breathtaking up close.

The two of them just fit. They’ve been together for many years and they have a genuine love. They are an example of perseverance and strength to us couples who are just starting out.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of shooting their wedding and I felt such a rush of emotion knowing that the random paths both Rick and I had taken had lead to me being at their wedding, taking photos they will keep forever. After all he and I have been through this last year, I truly cherished the opportunity to stand with him as a photographer and as a friend.

They are wonderful and I will be sharing more of their wedding very soon. In the meantime, here are a few shots I took a few days before their wedding. I walked away from this shoot with a multitude of ant bites, cuts and muddy feet.

Every bit worth it.
