San Antonio TV Personality: Kimberly Crawford Trevino

Shooting weddings has taken me away from doing other types of shoots these days so it’s rare that I get to do headshots. However, when Kimberly called saying she had seen the headshots I did for fellow news reporter Cynthia Lee, I couldn’t say no.

Kimberly is so cool! And I’m not just saying that because we share names, but because it’s true. She was awesome to shoot. From the moment she entered my studio, it was instant clickage:) I had so much fun hanging out and getting to know her and now I can’t wait to catch her show on Fox in the mornings!

I’m so happy for you Kimberly, Kim, Kimmie;)

Film Friday | Dear Destiny, I am ready.

I’m back with Film Friday. Today I’m showcasing the Red Leaf Boutique Film Shift Actions. In the coming months, things are going to be changing around here. I have some new announcements and some new ventures. I wish I could just say I am just excited. I wish I could say that I’m not terrified. But I can’t. Because I’m both excited and terrified. And yet, things have never felt more right. Never felt more real. So I hope you guys will come along for the ride and continue to be the support you always have been.

I’ve really enjoyed getting back into the creative side of things lately. Although my focus will still be weddings, I am stepping out into some unknown areas such as art direction and more teaching opportunities… and it feels good. I can’t wait to share everything I have been working on with some pretty amazing people.

So til then…

Amy & Richard - Looks beautiful Kimberly!

Sheri Angeles+Bridesmaids | Detroit, MI

Almost a year and a half ago Sheri contacted me to cover her wedding in Michigan. I am always so interested in meeting people from other areas; seeing how they live, what makes them smile and how they interact with the world around them.

Usually I get to know my brides pretty well through email and phone. I know some of their fears, what they are excited about with their wedding and how they want to look. This last year has been such a learning experience when it comes to weddings and how people want their photo experience to be.

Sheri asked if I could come in a little early to do a shoot with just her and her bridesmaids. Of course I said yes. She said she wanted her bridals to be a little different than the traditional shoots (which I defnitely appreciate).

I am so glad I was able to be a part of this shoot. They were such a fun group of ladies. My friend Jessica of Forever October Photography even came out to assist and the day was filled with laughs and shooting and trying to beat the cold.

Sheri wanted each girl to have bold/high fashion makeup while wearing their actual wedding day dresses. She also had them do hairstyles that were a little more creative than what’s usually done on the day of the wedding. I thought the whole look was fun and different.

Thanks to Sheri and all the lovely ladies for letting us hang out and get photos of your day!

I’ve been looking for a place to share my daily activity and other photos I like around the interwebs. So today I decided tumblr would be a good place to house those photos and quotes I want to share (without messing up my professional pages and such). So if you have a tumblr, follow me, so I can follow you. That’s how this is supposed to work right? Just click any of the images aboveto find me;)

Film Friday: Actress Sophie Bolles

I’ve been trying some new things lately with my photography. Film has made it’s way back around into the trends and I personally love the look and feel of film. I have very little experience with it though so I rely on processing to get the nostalgic look of film. Months ago, VSCO released their new presets and I have loved playing with them to create new processing. From now on, I am dedicating fridays to film. And I plan on interpreting that in many ways. Today, it’s in the form of using the Kodak presets, but it also applies to my actual model. She is a local actress and I can’t think of a better way to start “Film Friday’s”:) Meet Sophie… She is our Old film inspired bride.
